Get ready to run! The 2023 Old Town Street Festival is Saturday, June 3rd and all the fun kicks off with the Old Town 5K, presented by Cedar Park Regional Medical Center. Taking you through historic Old Town Leander, the 5k is great way to start your festival day.
About the Run
Our 5K run is the perfect opportunity to challenge yourself, have fun, and support our community. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or a beginner looking to get in shape, the Old Town 5K is designed for people of all ages and fitness levels. All entrants will receive a commemorative shirt and finisher’s medal so everyone is winner of this run!

Commemorative Shirt
This year’s shirt celebrates 80s music and our love for Leander. Shirts are available in adult and youth sizes and are included with your race registration.
Course Map
The chipped-timed course is mostly flat and very fast, offering a great opportunity for seasoned runners to get a PR. Leisurely joggers and walkers will also appreciate this manageable course. Whatever your speed, you’ll enjoy the company of our community as you make your way through the streets of Old Town.
Prizes
Following the completion of the race, we recognize the fastest athletes with an awards ceremony. First-place finisher medals will be awarded to the top female and male racers by age category as follows:

Get Ready!
Whether you’re walking or running your first 5K or you’re a veteran racer, you’ll want to make sure you’re properly prepared for race day. Hydration is crucial – make sure to have plenty of water leading up to race day. Hydration will stave off muscle cramps and heat stroke.
To best prepare your body for a long run, try an easy-to-follow training plan, like this one from TODAY.com, to gradually build up your endurance. Make sure to warm up and cool down and stretch as well to avoid injury.
