Runners, Take Your Marks! For the Old Town 5K!

The Leander Chamber of Commerce is excited for this year’s 5K presented by Cedar Park Regional Medical Center, the annual kick-off to the Old Town Street Festival! Taking you through historic Old Town Leander, you can set your own pace. Whether you choose to burn up the course with blazing speed or stroll with friends, you will be sure to enjoy being the first ones through the lanes of vendors and activities.

All entrants will receive a commemorative shirt and finisher’s medal! But be sure to sign up soon as this event usually sells out! Sign up here.

The chipped-timed course is mostly flat and very fast, with many runners getting a PR. Whatever your speed, come ready for fun!

The 5K awards ceremony will follow the completion of the race with a first-place medal awarded to the top finisher in each of the following categories:

  • 65+

Packet Pick-Up

Race packets can be picked up at the Leander Chamber of Commerce at 100 N. Brushy St., Leander, TX 78641, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 2-4 & at 10:30 a.m. on race day.

This year’s festival has more excitement than ever before and is bringing more wineries and breweries than ever!

LEANDER, Texas — April 1, 2021 —  Old Town Street Festival, taking place in the heart of Old Town Leander at 100 N. Brushy Street on June 5, is excited to announce this year’s schedule and music line-up. The annual festival will start at 11 a.m. with the Old Town 5K, arts and craft booths and the Kids Fun Zone. Wade Hayes, presented by ACDI, will take the Old Town Grand Stand at 6:30 p.m. The after-party with LC Rocks, presented by Texas Family Eyecare, will kick off at 8 p.m. 

“We are looking forward to kicking off the summer with a safe, fun, family-oriented event,” said Chastidy Vernengo, the events director for the Leander Chamber of Commerce. “We are excited that our community gets to come together and support local businesses.”

“We are so grateful for our amazing sponsors, we couldn’t do this without them,” said Bridget Brandt, president of the Leander Chamber of Commerce. “I know the community is looking forward to being able to come together to see live music again, and I’m especially looking forward to the performance by Wade Hayes, and the afterparty featuring LC Rocks.”

The festival will have activities, shopping and, of course, live music, all day from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., including Lucas Sousa, presented by Giddens Homes. General admission is free and tickets for the VIP section of the Wade Hayes concert and the roller skating rink can be purchased online here. Tokens for rides and kids activities can be purchased at the festival. Parking will be available at the Leander Metro rail station with buses providing transportation to Old Town or in the Leander ISD parking lots surrounding Old Town. Check back as we feature vendors and events all spring leading up to the festival!
